Casper's love affair with SHEBA Meats!

A few days ago, I received a ShebaMeats voxbox for my 15 year old cat, Casper. Since we know a picture is worth a 1000 words, I'll let him tell the story:

I think it's a winner! I thank influenster and Sheba meats for sending me these products complementary for testing purposes.

Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Green Tea

Good Morning everyone! Today's blog is about the Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Green Tea.  I received the tea complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Initially,  I didn't think I'd like it.  I don't like peppermint in my drink,  but I did receive it to test  it, so I did. I must say I was pleasantly surprised! The tea isn't too minty.  There's a melding of flavors from smooth to sweet. I really enjoyed this tea & I will definitely buy it.

Thanks Influenster!

Review of Rimmel London products

Good morning everyone! Today's blog is about some products I received complementary from Influenster for testing purposes. I received the scandal eyes eyeliner and eye makeup remover by Rimmel London. A few days ago, I tested the eyeliner and I really liked it. It has staying power,  is a rich,  velvety black.  After applying the eye liner, I used the Rimmel London Eye makeup remover. It was awesome! I used one cotton pad, and was able to remove all traces of the eyeliner with one pad on each eye. Ladies, you really can't go wrong with the eyeliner and the eye makeup remove.  Rimmel London has a really good formula and I would definitely use it again. Thanks for reading the blog!

My FrostyVoxBox from Influenster!

Hello everyone! I was selected to receive a frosty vox box from Influenster. I received all the products complimentary for testing purposes. Check above for the unboxing.

The products and my opinion:

I underwent a big chop last month, so I have no hair to brush with my ecotools hairbrush. Even if I did, I'm natural, so this brush wouldn't work for me.

The lipstick I'm wearing by New York Color Cosmetics is AWESOME! It glides on smoothly, moisturizes and makes my lips feel silky. Also, the color is flattering to many skin tones.

The Fruit Vines were delicious!

I have yet to drink the Celestial Seasonings decaf green tea, but I may get around to it tonight or sometime this week.

I haven't opened the thyme from McCormick Gourmet, and I probably won't for quite some time. I bought some thyme from another company not too long ago, so I have plenty at this time.

I probably won't use the advanced serum by No7. I'm 30 years old and have no wrinkles.

I'm not proficient with black eyeliner, so the Rimmel scandaleyes they sent will be great to practice with :) and the Rimmel eye makeup remover will be great to use when I make countless mistakes, lol.

Thanks again Influenster! I'm looking forward to being chosen for another #voxbox in the future. If you'd like to get started with Influenster, please sign up through this link and link with Facebook when you sign up. Thank you!

Eyebrows

Eyebrows are such a small collection of hair on our faces, yet they are vital in that they frame our eyes and faces and they give a general impression of the mood we're in. For an example, Google eyebrows. You'll see a variety of eyebrows, some beautiful, others tragic.

Today, I want to discuss the do's and don'ts of eyebrows. Generally, your eyebrows should begin at the inner corner of your eye, and end at the end of your eye. The arch should start approximately at the center of your pupil and gently extend to the end of your eye. By gently, I mean the arch shouldn't be touching your hair line. That is a no no.

To remove the hair, tweeze, wax or thread it. I prefer Moom's sugar wax to beeswax. If you're unsure about how to remove the offending hair, please ask another woman whose eyebrows are on point where she gets them done.  Don't ever, EVER choose a salon, spa or beauty college because it's cheap or close. Choose your esthetician carefully because once your eyebrow hair is removed, it will take a month or longer for it to come back unless you use a small amount of Jamaican Black Castor Oil (JBCO). You will be stuck having to pencil in your eyebrows, and that can quickly become a disaster.

Ardell makes eyebrow stencils, but they don't take into account that your eyebrows can't be stenciled on to perfection without looking like you used an Etch-a-Sketch. So that takes us back to square one unless you like that look. By all means, do you!

When I started out doing my eyebrows years ago, I had to learn my natural shape and stick with it, which was no easy task. I eventually started going to a salon until she started taking off too much hair. I purchased Moom and have been happy since...

...until I waxed off too much. In my defense, I was tired and shouldn't have been waxing my eyebrows. It took a month with use of JBCO for the hair to grow back. I had to pencil it in and I hated having to put my brows on before going anywhere.  I would rather have caterpillar eyebrows than to draw them on or fill them in every.single.day.

If you're ever in doubt about how to do your eyebrows, see a qualified professional. Don't become a tragic statistic of Horrible Eyebrow Syndrome.
